📋 Overview

Clipboard Storage Room is a Chrome extension designed to silently save your copied browser text in a local history vault. We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy details how we handle and protect your information.

📦 Data Collection and Storage

This extension is designed under a strict **local-first and offline-first** framework:

  • Clipboard Content: All captured texts are saved **strictly on your local machine** using Chrome's secure `chrome.storage.local` API.
  • No Cloud Syncing: We do not upload your clipboard logs, telemetry, or text logs to any external server. Your data belongs exclusively to you.
  • Auto-Clean Policy: Free tier users keep data for 3 days. Premium tier users can modify retention intervals or wipe specific calendar days.
  • Permanent Deletion: Removing the extension from your Chrome browser immediately and permanently erases all locally saved records.

💳 Billing & Device Identifier

When upgrading to Premium, the following verification data is processed:

  • Device Identifier: On installation, a random Device ID is created. This ID contains no personal details (no name, email, or MAC address) and is used solely to link your premium status.
  • Transaction Verification: Our payment server (`payp.aicanot.com`) stores your anonymous Device ID, payment method, amount, and Order ID temporarily to verify purchase completion.
  • Secure Processor: All transactions are securely processed directly by **PayPal** and **Alipay**. We never see or store your credit card or bank details.

🔐 Requested Permissions

We request only the minimum required permissions to support our utility:

  • `storage`: To persist the saved clips and state values on your device.
  • `alarms`: To run the history cleaner background task periodically.
  • `notifications`: To alert you upon successful premium activation.
